A two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Military and Black Creek Road on Thursday left a motorcyclist dead. At about 1:37 p.m., a crash occurred between a car turning left from the westbound lane on Military Road and a motorcyclist who was traveling in the eastbound lane at the same time, a Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office press release said. The motorcyclist was killed in the accident, while the other driver only sustained minor injuries. The press release did not identify the deceased because the next of kin had not yet been notified. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by LCSO, the press release said.
