The closure is meant to allow Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) to safely install new power lines between two electricity pylons on either side of the motorway.
The work marks the final stages in a large repair operation after the electricity pylon near Hatch Farm Way in Winnersh was severely damaged by a falling tree in February.
The pylon was so structurally compromised that local residents were evacuated while workers scrambled to secure the site, and in the end the entire pylon was removed.
Announcing the upcoming M4 closure, SSEN said the pylon was a "major part" of their electricity network in Winnersh.
Hatch Farm Way in Winnersh, which runs alongside the M4, will also be closed, with access for residents via Lower Early Way North.
