Cornwall Wildlife Trust says its analysis of environmental data suggests current sampling of sediments across the site may be too limited to reliably identify harmful contamination. Plans include dredging parts of the harbour to allow larger vessels to access the docks. Cornwall Wildlife Trust said concerns are also being shared by those whose livelihoods depend on the estuary. Cornwall Wildlife Trust has submitted a holding objection, calling for more detailed environmental scrutiny.
