Daniel Common was driving a red Suzuki Vitara in St Austell in the early hours of the morning, shortly before Christmas 2024, when he drove past a police car. Common sped off and a police pursuit was declared, Truro Crown Court heard today (Friday, August 7). Common, who was homeless at the time, drove through red traffic lights without slowing down and raced along the 30mph town centre roads at speeds of up to 50mph. The court heard Common was on a community order at the time of the offences. The court heard Common only started offending when he was aged 27.
