The signing took place during a special event at the National Eisteddfod and signals the council’s ongoing support for promoting the Welsh language across its workforce and services. Developed by TUC Cymru, the Twf Charter aims to help employers, trade unions and employees create inclusive bilingual workplaces and increase opportunities to use and learn Welsh at work. Councillor Delme Harries, chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, said: "We are delighted to sign the Twf Charter and further strengthen our commitment to the Welsh language within Pembrokeshire County Council. "The Welsh language is a vital part of our culture, heritage and identity, and we want our workplaces to be welcoming and supportive environments where staff can use, learn and develop their Welsh language skills with confidence." Pembrokeshire County Council joins a growing number of organisations across Wales adopting the charter as part of their efforts to create fair, inclusive and bilingual workplaces.
