A young boy who took the keys to his parents' car reportedly struck a woman in a crosswalk in East Oakland who suffered life-threatening injuries, and he and his four-year-old brother, who was a passenger in the car, were also injured.
The Oakland Police Department received a report of a crash around 9:30 am Thursday at the intersection of 35th and Mangels avenues, near Interstate 580 in East Oakland.
Police later determined the driver was a seven-year-old boy, and his four-year-old brother was also in the car.
Their uncle told the outlet he doesn’t know how or why they took the car.
