Friars Park Lake has experienced falling water levels during several recent summers, with residents fearing the problem is being worsened by climate change. However, local volunteers have stepped in to save the lake’s wildlife. Confelicity Party member Lee Clark, who has been regularly visiting Friars Park, said the last remaining fish were recently transferred to a deeper back lake. Mr Clark said rescuers, who did not wish to be named, have saved at least 100 fish. She said: "As with many natural water bodies, water levels can vary depending on weather conditions, and we will continue to monitor the situation."
