One lane of the A13 London Road at the Tarpots junction has been closed Southend-bound by police, according to residents and maps. Another lane has also been blocked London-bound by a fire engine during the large emergency response. Several fire engines and several police vehicles are reportedly at the scene. The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Essex Police and Essex Fire Service have been contacted for comment.
