Proper Pubs across Yorkshire and the Humber, including the Crown Hotel and Malt Kiln Inn in Bradford, are taking part in the Community Hero Awards. Nominations are now open and can be made by scanning a QR code displayed throughout participating pubs until October 4. Each local winner will receive a certificate and a bottle of fizz, with three national winners also receiving £1,000 to donate to a charity or community group. Proper Pubs is the community pub division of Admiral Taverns and operates more than 220 pubs across England, Scotland, and Wales. Another Yorkshire pub taking part in this scheme is the Cavendish in Keighley.
