He said he had raised the issues with Inspector John Barker, who leads the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, and stressed the importance of residents, police and community leaders working together to tackle the problems. The MP said he meets Inspector Barker monthly and encouraged residents to share concerns with him so they can be raised directly with police. Mr Moore added that he would continue lobbying the West Yorkshire Mayor and the Home Secretary for more police officers to support neighbourhood policing teams. He also urged residents to report incidents to West Yorkshire Police, saying reports help officers allocate resources and build intelligence about local crime and anti-social behaviour.
