The Attorney-General’s Chambers clarified that businessperson Liow Soon Hee, better known as Nicky Liow, was not released without any legal action being taken against him. In a statement today, it said Liow had been charged with 26 counts of money laundering under Section 4 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
