DULUTH — The Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Thursday that ongoing bridge repair work around the area of Highway 194/Mesaba Avenue, Interstate 35 and Superior Street will close the southbound ramp to I-35 through the end of September.
As of Aug. 10, MnDoT will close the on-ramp from Mesaba Avenue to southbound I-35.
Traffic will be detoured on Michigan Street to 21st Avenue West to Highway 53 to I-35.
ADVERTISEMENTWestbound Highway 194/Mesaba Avenue between West Superior Street and West First Street will remain closed through Aug. 26, although motorists will can use the off-ramp to access Superior and Michigan streets.
Pedestrians continue to be detoured from Michigan Street to Mesaba Avenue to First Street West to Sixth Avenue West while the bridge is under construction.
