The event, scheduled for September 5-6, will see around 1,500 people tackle distances from 25km to a full 100km through the South Downs National Park and Sussex coastline. Starting in Eastbourne, participants will navigate the climb up Beachy Head, cross the Seven Sisters, pass Cuckmere Haven and follow the South Downs Way westwards. The full 100km route, featuring almost 2,100 metres of climbing, is regarded as one of the toughest in the Ultra Challenge Series. Entries are still open for the South Coast Ultra Challenge. A fully supported infrastructure, including signed routes, rest stops, hot food, medical support and hospitality stations, will assist participants throughout the challenge.
