Jack White, 23, volunteers for St Wilfrid’s Hospice (Eastbourne) at its Polegate shop and was nominated by his manager, Roz Murray at the Polegate Community Foundation Awards. He said: "I felt honoured and overwhelmed to have even been nominated, so to actually win on the night is something I’m really proud of. Mr White has volunteered at the shop for two-and-a-half years and currently helps out on five shifts each week. "I enjoy chatting to the customers, helping them with their purchases and making sure they have a pleasant customer experience. Ms Murray said: "Jack's kindness, loyalty, enthusiasm and unwavering commitment to St Wilfrid's shine through in everything he does."
