Woman who struggled to walk now completes 50km endurance challenges

The 49-year-old set a goal to complete five Ultra Challenge events in her 50th year—and she recently finished the North Downs 50, walking 50km through the Surrey Hills for the charity Abby’s Heroes.
Ms Harrison said: "Ultra Challenge has changed my life.
I will forever be grateful for the family, the experiences and the support Ultra Challenges have given me.
Turning personal recovery into purpose, she signed up for the South Coast Ultra Challenge in memory of her grandmother, who died of dementia.
She later completed the Windsor 50km Ultra Challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support after her mother’s ovarian cancer diagnosis.
