Residents and workers across the county are being invited to share their views on draft action plans developed by the West Sussex Joint Climate Change Board, with support from climate specialists City Science. Natasha Davie, chair of the West Sussex Joint Climate Change Board and cabinet member for environment and climate change at West Sussex County Council, said: "We are already experiencing the effects of a changing climate. Ms Davie said: "It also presents an opportunity to create a healthier, safer and more resilient West Sussex for current and future generations. "By taking this joined-up approach, we can help deliver better homes, cleaner air, lower energy costs and thriving natural habitats." Although each council already has its own climate plans, this consultation seeks to create a unified county-wide strategy to tackle shared challenges and opportunities.
