According to traffic monitoring service AA, the closure was in place between Sheepsetting Lane and West Street Lane/Sandy Lane from around 9.35pm. The incident was the second to affect the route that day, after an earlier crash led to a road closure because of an oil spill. Few details about the latest collision had been released on Thursday night, and police were approached for more information. The road remained closed as of 10.01pm before reopening by Friday morning, although some slow-moving traffic was still reported in the area. As of this morning, the road has re-opened and traffic is returning to normal.
