West Sussex County Council has announced plans to introduce new speed limits along the A29 and surrounding roads in Coldwaltham, Bury, and Fittleworth. They follow a community highway scheme application submitted by Coldwaltham Parish Council, which called for lower speed limits along the A29 from Bury Gate to Pulborough. A review of the route, carried out by the county council in line with its speed limit policy, recommended new lower limits based on road environment and safety data.
