ROCHESTER, N.Y. – More muggy air and more chances for showers and thunderstorms today, Some unsettled weather lies along a stationary front to our west and will enter the region by late this morning. Rochester will see the lighter, more widespread northern half of this unsettled weather, and areas south will see the more scattered but stronger portion later in the afternoon. The two main concerns with any storms today would be heavy rain and gusty winds, but chances for storms reaching severe status are still low. It’ll be muggy again for Saturday, with additional chances for showers and thunder around late morning-midday into the afternoon, and again after sunset. Unsettled weather returns later Monday and Tuesday, with another midweek dry break, then more unsettled weather possible on Thursday and Friday.
