The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) has dispatched a delegation to Turkmenistan for a series of talks aimed at boosting bilateral economic cooperation, increasing trade volumes, and developing new supply chains, ToloNews reports.
During the talks, the Afghan side invited Turkmenistan to send a business mission of 100 entrepreneurs and investors to Kabul.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan supported the initiative, confirming its readiness to organize the visit and expand economic partnership.
Expert Qutbuddin Yaqubi noted that Turkmenistan leverages its geographic location and the operational Aqina and Torghundi border checkpoints to maintain trade relations with Afghanistan.
“In recent years, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan have intensified efforts to strengthen economic ties, increase trade, expand transit cooperation, and capitalize on shared opportunities in the energy and investment sectors,” ToloNews notes.
