The Shah Alam High Court ruled that the suspension was necessary to enable MTUC to continue acting for workers and to allow payments to auditors who were auditing the financial reports sought by the RoS. PETALING JAYA : The Shah Alam High Court has suspended the Registrar of Societies’ (RoS) order in May to provisionally dissolve the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC). Justice Evawani Farisyta Mohammad granted MTUC leave on July 13 to commence judicial review proceedings challenging its temporary dissolution. She also ordered the suspension of the dissolution pending the disposal of the judicial review application. The plaintiffs are seeking an order of certiorari to quash the RoS’s decision to provisionally dissolve MTUC.
