(Facebook pic)SANDAKAN : The Cabinet has called for a comprehensive plan within two weeks on strengthening airport security following “recent incidents that had affected the country’s image and created the impression that there are weaknesses in airport security”, home minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said today. He said the home ministry and the transport ministry had been given two weeks to submit the report. Attention has turned to airport security following several recent cases involving Malaysians, including the arrest of a Malaysian pilot after about 25kg of ecstasy pills were seized at Jakarta airport last week. “This programme brings foreign representatives to see for themselves the state of peace and tourism potential, thereby enabling them to convey accurate, factual and balanced information to their respective countries,” he said.
