North Frederick Street will shut from its junction with George Square to the unnamed lane between the Ark Bar and Z Hotel south of Martha Street. This is to allow for North Frederick Street to be resurfaced, north of the new granite sett junction with George Square, as part of the George Square Avenue Project. Access to the remainder of North Frederick Street from Martha Street to Cathedral Street will be available via George Street, John Street, and Martha Street. During the works, the section of North Frederick Street, from the unnamed lane to the junction with Martha Street, will operate as a two-way road. Motorists are asked to follow George Street to John Street to Martha Street.
