A Celebration of Pride brings together three Scottish queer choirs who will share a stage for the first time in Scottish theatre history. The show will be at the Citizens Theatre on Saturday and is hosted by Queer Voices Glasgow, the city’s community-based queer choir known for its in-house arrangements of pop, folk, and alternative favourites and queer anthems. Bryn Pearlstone, founding member and charity officer for Queer Voices Glasgow, says the idea came after they met their sister choirs while at a queer choir event in Bristol called Hand in Hand in 2024 and “really got on”. They said: “We decided this year that we wanted to celebrate that and bring together a little community of queer choirs in Scotland. Bryn said: “We [Queer Voices Glasgow] run the gamut from storytelling by queer musicians to celebrate what it is in queer culture to have fun and listen to gay music.
