The incident happened on Tollcross Road near its junction with Crail Street at around 10.40pm on Thursday, August 6. Police were called to reports that the man had been seriously assaulted. The attack led to Tollcross Road being closed for more than eight hours overnight, before reopening at 7.07am this morning. “This is a busy area and we are urging anyone who witnessed this attack, or anyone with information which could assist our enquiries to contact us.
