Across classrooms, libraries and science laboratories, students are sharpening their minds, revising formulas, testing their knowledge and preparing for one of Ghana’s most anticipated academic battles, the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2026. The organisers have announced that they are targeting 174 schools to compete at the national championship stage, with 27 schools already securing qualification for the ultimate contest. The intensity will rise further as the remaining schools battle for a place in the semi-finals on Thursday, September 3. Only three schools will survive the long academic marathon to compete for the ultimate prize at the grand finale on Thursday, September 10, 2026. With past champions setting high standards and new contenders eager to announce themselves on the national stage, the 2026 edition promises another thrilling display of brilliance, strategy and academic excellence.
