Glide brings SIM-based authentication to all major US carriers
['Abhishek Jadhav']
Biometric Update
Glide.id has launched public beta availability of its MagicalAuth platform across AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, making SIM-based cryptographic authentication available nationwide for iOS and Android users in the United States.
The platform authenticates users through their mobile carriers using carrier-issued cryptographic credentials instead of SMS one-time passwords or authenticator apps.
The launch reflects a broader industry shift toward network-based identity signals, where mobile carriers, operating systems and digital wallets increasingly provide trusted authentication instead of passwords and SMS codes.
MagicalAuth can use the Digital Credentials API to request a temporary TS.43 credential issued by the carrier on Android devices.
