Azerbaijan uses over $476 mln in state investment program in H1 2026

Azerbaijan implemented 287 projects under its state investment program during the first half of 2026, according to the Ministry of Finance.
Of the funds spent, 337.8 million manats ($198.7 million) were allocated to transport projects, 171.2 million manats ($100.7 million) to other projects, 151.2 million manats ($88.9 million) to water management and irrigation, 60.9 million manats ($35.8 million) to defense and law enforcement, 51.2 million manats ($30.1 million) to social projects, and 37.9 million manats ($22.3 million) to energy and industry.
Overall, 2.7 billion manats ($1.59 billion) has been earmarked for the state investment program in 2026.
Total investment-oriented capital spending from the state budget reached 4.188 billion manats ($2.46 billion) in January-June, including 1.064 billion manats ($625.9 million) allocated to the Great Return Program, 810.2 million manats ($476.6 million) to the state investment program, and 2.314 billion manats ($1.36 billion) for other capital expenditures.
Within the program, the largest allocations went to transport projects at 505.2 million manats ($297.2 million) and social projects at 400.5 million manats ($235.6 million).
