Uzbekistan, Algeria eye stronger agri-trade, investment ties

Uzbekistan and Algeria have discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture, with a focus on boosting trade in agricultural products, attracting investment, and launching joint projects.
The two sides reviewed opportunities to strengthen cooperation across the agricultural sector, including the implementation of joint initiatives and the promotion of investment in agribusiness.
Particular attention was given to increasing bilateral trade in fruit, vegetables, and food products, expanding export-import relations, and strengthening commercial ties between the two countries' agricultural markets.
The officials also explored cooperation in horse breeding and fisheries, including the exchange of expertise, the introduction of modern technologies, and the implementation of joint investment projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Uzbekistan and Algeria reaffirmed their readiness to continue expanding agricultural cooperation, support mutually beneficial initiatives, and advance promising joint projects to the implementation stage.
