According to a report by Maariv newspaper, there has been a significant uptick of approximately 50% in the number of people departing from the entity known as “Israelis.” Notably, this surge is most pronounced among high-income earners and professionals working in the high-tech and medical fields, especially those aged between 40 and 50. The potential annual loss in tax revenue due to this exodus is estimated to be around 1.2 billion shekels. The number of Israelis emigrating has surged by approximately 50% compared to the years before the COVID-19 pandemic. Similarly, the healthcare industry has seen an exodus grow by more than 100%, particularly involving physicians and other well-compensated professionals.
