In his sermon during this week’s Friday Prayers in Tehran, Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali Akbari emphasized that Arbaeen, the commemoration observed on the 40th day following the martyrdom of Imam Hussain on Ashura, serves as a symbol of unity among Muslims, highlighting their cohesiveness and solidarity. This year’s Arbaeen procession held significant importance, as evidenced by a large number of participants carrying red flags symbolizing calls for avenging the blood of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution. A senior cleric expressed gratitude to the people of Iraq, the government, tribal leaders, custodians of the holy shrines, and all who warmly hosted the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (AS), with a special mention of the Iranian pilgrims. Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali Akbari remarked that the generous hospitality symbolizes affection for the Master of the Martyrs (AS) and serves as a unifying factor for the Islamic nation. He expressed hope that God Almighty would bestow greater honor, blessings, and success upon the Iraqi people.
