Iran has made notable strides in its ballistic missile technology, as the Kheibar Shekan missile now incorporates an advanced jamming-resistant guidance system. The Defense Systems Analysis (DSA) highlights that this integration significantly boosts the missile’s precision and strengthens its defenses against electronic warfare. As a result, interception efforts by defense systems such as Patriot, THAAD, and Arrow are expected to face increased challenges. The Kheibar Shekan missile, featuring a solid-fuel engine and a launch platform, extends the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force’s operational range to approximately 1,450 kilometers. Iran introduced the Kheibar Shekan in February 2022, with the IRGC openly promoting its purpose-built design to overcome advanced defensive infrastructures.
