Turkish security forces detained 104 people in operations across 30 provinces over alleged links to the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the Interior Ministry announced on Friday. The latest operation follows a series of nationwide raids targeting suspected ISIL members and financiers. Last month Turkish security forces detained 119 people in operations across 30 provinces over alleged links to ISIL. In June police detained 361 people in operations across 39 provinces targeting suspected ISIL members and financiers. Police later detained 209 people in Ankara over alleged links to ISIL or left-wing militant groups as part of heightened security measures before the summit.
