China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) today released the latest batch of automobile filings, revealing the official filing for the new Smart #2, a two-seater micro EV from Geely and Mercedes-Benz. Produced by Zhejiang Haoqing Automotive Co., Ltd., the Smart #2 is designed as a compact urban commuter with a seating capacity of two. The vehicle will be available in two body length options: 2,751 mm and 2,764 mm. Both versions maintain a width of 1,669 mm and a height of 1,555 mm, with a wheelbase of 1,875 mm. As we reported in March, sales of the large cars produced by Smart have not been very good.
