Nantwich Cricket Club first team’s challenge for the Cheshire ECB Premier League title suffered a setback when they fell to a surprise home defeat to Neston. And although Mitchell Spencer claimed three wickets, Neston got home with four wickets and five balls to spare. Jakob Jordan took three wickets for the Dabbers and then top-scored with 64 but Nantwich eventually fell well short of their target. But the Sunday third team suffered an emphatic defeat, who were reduced to 0-3 by the first three balls of their innings, bowled by Didsbury’s Ben Lowe. Nantwich women’s first XI recorded another impressive win as Morganne Prince took 4-1 after Didsbury had won the toss and elected to bat.
