Mr Afoko expressed confidence that the NPP could regain the trust of Ghanaians, insisting that the party remained capable of returning to power through unity, discipline and a strengthened grassroots structure. Mr Afoko said his campaign would be anchored on what he described as the "Three Rs" — Reunite, Rebuild and Recapture. He explained that reuniting the party would involve healing divisions, restoring trust and promoting inclusiveness, while rebuilding would focus on strengthening party structures, empowering grassroots members and ensuring all organs of the party function effectively. Speaking during the interview, Mr Afoko said these measures would position the NPP to recapture political power by restoring public confidence and presenting the party as a united, disciplined and credible alternative ready to govern.
