Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Akyenpim Jantuah has accused the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) of demanding respect from others while failing to extend the same courtesy, particularly to women. She said she was surprised by the reaction of the NPP leadership when she arrived at the Jubilee House to receive the petition. Nana Yaa Jantuah explained that although she witnessed the objections, she deliberately chose not to respond because she was representing the President. "The NPP wants respect, but they do not know how to give respect, especially to women." Nana Yaa Jantuah also questioned the validity of the petition presented to the Presidency, alleging that it was unsigned.
