Two separate fire outbreaks in the Greater Accra Region on Thursday, August 6, destroyed commercial and residential structures in Nungua and Odorkor Official Town in the Krowor and Ga Central municipalities, causing significant property losses but no reported casualties. A second fire occurred at Odorkor Official Town near Adi Junction, affecting both residential and commercial properties. Three wooden residential structures containing the occupants' personal belongings were destroyed, while another wooden structure being used as a mechanic's workshop storeroom was also reduced to ashes. The fire threatened nearby buildings but was contained before it spread to several adjoining wooden structures, limiting further damage. The cause of the fire at Odorkor Official Town is under investigation.
