Punjab: An elderly woman reportedly went missing for nearly 18 hours after being accidentally locked inside a washroom at an Ayushman Arogya Kendra, formerly known as the Aam Aadmi Clinic, in Malout town, Punjab, prompting authorities to initiate a probe into the incident. The woman, a resident of Ward 10 who works as domestic help, had visited the health centre to collect medicines on Tuesday afternoon. While she was inside the washroom, staff reportedly locked up the facility and left around 2 pm, unaware that she remained inside. The woman was finally found the following morning when staff reopened the centre at 8 am on Wednesday, having spent close to 18 hours locked inside. We want action against those responsible," said an acquaintance of the family, demanding accountability from the health centre staff.
