Published August 7, 2026 8:29 A.M.(Beaver County, Pa) The PA Department of Health has announced a distribution event for Potassium Iodine tablets. For Beaver Countians, it’s important to stay prepared in the case of an unlikely radiation event from the Beaver Valley Power Station in Shippingport. Locally, the tablets will be distributed at the Center at the Mall inside the Beaver Valley Mall on August 14th from 2pm until 7pm. Residents are also allowed to receive tablets on behalf for others who can’t make it out to the event. In any case, the tablets are still available year round and you can get more information by contacting state health department.
