She has become India's first-ever "Top Gun," an honour reserved for just one out of every hundred elite fighter pilots in the IAF. TACDE is the IAF's foremost fighter tactics institution, often compared to the US Navy's celebrated "Top Gun" programme, officially known as the Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor course. The establishment trains elite personnel in advanced combat tactics, mission planning, air-to-air and air-to-ground operations, and leadership under high-intensity combat conditions. She first had to earn her place among the IAF's 100 top fighter pilots before going on to demonstrate exceptional skill over the course of the demanding 20-week Fighter Combat Leader programme. Having completed it successfully, she now holds one of the most prestigious honours the Indian Air Force has to offer.
