The decision follows a public spat between two senior RJD leaders, Bhai Virendra and Shakti Singh Yadav, who had traded accusations in recent days over who was responsible for weakening the party's organisational structure following the Bankipur loss. He said that going forward, only workers who were genuinely dedicated and capable would be given positions of responsibility within the party. Virendra also expressed confidence that an RJD-led government would be formed in Bihar in the near future.
