Millvale Council will be naming a new president before filling a vacancy. Council President James Machajewski is stepping down as council president in August before resigning in September, borough Manager Seth Abrams said. “Making this change, at this time, allows for me to help make a smooth transition for Millvale’s future council president,” he said. He has been president of council since February 2013. Council will hold a special reorganization meeting to elect a new council president when it meets at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, in council chambers, 501 Lincoln Ave.
