But Benoit, the sex columnist, believes the industry overcorrected in other ways, leaning too far into puritanism. “I do think this is different,” Benoit said about this cultural moment, which she believes has evolved beyond the gratuitous shots of breasts or rape featured on “Game of Thrones.”
