Romania’s Interior Ministry announced on Thursday, August 6, that the platform WorkinRomania.gov.ro is now up and running, simplifying the process of hiring foreign workers. The platform aims to make it easier for immigrant workers to enter the domestic labor market. The platform helps both Romanian employers looking for a workforce and aids the state in managing more efficiently the employment of new workers coming from other states. The platform offers useful information for employers, placement agencies and foreign workers, available also in English. Although Romania set an official quota of around 90,000 newly admitted foreign workers for 2026, employer demand significantly exceeds that ceiling.
