Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean are “absolutely” making new music togetherLauryn Hill and Fugees bandmate Wyclef Jean have promised that there will “absolutely” be new music from the pair. Hill and Jean, along with bandmate Pras Michel, became critically renowned through 1994’s Blunted On Reality and the classic 1996 record The Score. festival, Hill and Wyclef Jean are scheduled to headline, alongside Erykah Badu, Giggs and Hill’s sons YG Marley and Zion Marley, who are also the grandchildren of reggae icon Bob Marley. The promise of new music is reassuring given that earlier this year, Hill discussed the reason why she only ever released one solo album, 1998’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, admitting that “Creativity is most potent when it’s free”. This spiralled into a lawsuit against Hill by Michel, who accused her of fraud and gross financial misconduct.
