“Some songs really need little surgical bits that lock in,” Ward continues, “and others are sparse so we could add stuff in. That comes with really amazing things, because we all know each other really well and know how to work together.” Leppänen poses, “The next cool thing is going to be a three-piece, and I feel like that’s already popping up. We rehearsed and wrote a lot of the songs for this album there, and also, my parents met, living in that same building. Amidst all of the trinkets on the outside is Cherry, performing a ‘cannonball’ onto the bed in the centre of the room.
