As per The Hollywood Reporter, though Edwards has quit, Universal is swiftly moving the sequel on with a script completed by returning scribe David Koepp. “We had an incredible experience working with Gareth on Jurassic World Rebirth,” said Universal in a newly shared statement. Spielberg helmed the 1997 sequel, The Lost World, while Joe Johnston took over directorial duties for the 2001 instalment, Jurassic World III. After 14 years, the franchise was revived with Jurassic World, directed by Colin Trevorrow and starring Chris Pratt and Bruce Dallas Howard.
