Universal Pictures are on the hunt for a new Dino-wrangler with the news that Jurassic World Rebirth director Gareth Edwards has left the sequel citing “creative differences”. No details are given on what the creative differences were, but Universal released a statement saying “We had an incredible experience working with Gareth on Jurassic World Rebirth“. Said ‘incredible experience’ probably relates to the fact that despite a muted reception from critics, the seventh film in the long-running blockbuster franchise still grossed $869 million at the worldwide box-office. David Koepp, who wrote the 1993 original and 2026’s Rebirth, is back on scripting duties for the sequel, while Jurassic Park director Steven Spielberg and producer Frank Marshall remain ever-presents.
