The man charged in the death of an 11-year-old girl during the 2022 Raleigh Christmas Parade has completed his active sentence and was projected to be released after several months behind bars. Landen Glass’s plea agreement called for up to 262 consecutive days of confinement for felony obstruction of justice, misdemeanor death by motor vehicle and carrying a firearm at a parade. He pleaded guilty in November 2025, nearly three years after the pickup truck he was driving went out of control and struck Hailey Brooks. His felony sentence was suspended in favor of 36 months of supervised probation. Virginia probation officers are expected to provide monthly updates on his progress.
